INTER-GENERATIONAL WEALTH AND MOBILITY

We envision a Detroit where youth and families have access to workforce opportunities that address an ever-evolving economy and provide clear pathways to economic stability and mobility.

The reality is that almost half of our youth in Detroit (>45%) are living below the poverty line, and this fact combined with educational barriers, makes economic mobility feel out of reach. Our community wants more than exposure to opportunities; they want the entire ecosystem to host more economic opportunities that increase our youth’s workforce and economic possibilities. This means an increase for middle and high schoolers in career fairs, internships, mentorship opportunities, and work opportunities that works to expand a cultural vision.
