We envision a Detroit where the government, schools, social support systems, community centers, and families work together to support and invest in our youth, and our city’s future.
The reality shows disjointed efforts operating in silos, without cross-collaboration; whereas aligned strategies would result in a greater, positive impact for our youth and their families. Our communities want a united force fighting for equity amongst Detroit’s youth, with better alignment enhancing the entire youth ecosystem. We want to boost collaboration with synchronous, asynchronous, and community level activities to prioritize data points each year, with funder backing to ensure consistent evaluation and strategic support. We want to change programmatic and collaborative priorities within Detroit, using a sophisticated approach for drilling down to community level data, identifying prioritized indicators.
